5 Red oak pellets

In my opinion red oak is one of the most scoffed at and unknown by a lot of BBQ people. I think the red oak wood gives a real old time smoke flavor that has been lost because of all the choices and marketing. My Dad and his Dad had used red oak for years. I will be buying it again.

5 100 % satisfied!

Today we put some pellets in a tube smoker in the BBQ with Tri Tip and brought back memories of the Santa Maria BBQ I grew up with. The perfect amount of flavor without the smoke taste you get with so many other brands / flavors.

Used to smoke 2 racks pork spares, and a 11 lb brisket, using an old Traeger with digital control. Everything cooked at 220deg F. Pellets burned clean and had a consistent burn rate. No flame outs (as with other brands). Flavor was good; smoke was moderate. Good product.
